Neighborhood Gets Mobile Sheriff’s Unit

A $103,000, custom-built Public Safety Mobile Unit, purchased in response to requests for heightened police presence from residents of West Hollywood’s east side, was formally introduced Monday.

“The neighbors are very excited that something they talked about is actually happening,” said Nancy Greenstein, city public safety administrator. “It’s like a little sheriff’s station on wheels.”

The 30-foot-long station usually will be parked at Plummer Park.
