A $5,000 reward was offered Thursday by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for information leading to the kidnapper of a 17-year-old Rowland Heights girl missing since May.

Adriana Rojas, a Rowland High School senior who was to have graduated last month, was last seen just before noon on May 7 as she left her apartment on Greencastle Avenue after coming home for lunch, said sheriff’s spokesman Matthew Rodriguez.

While it was unknown whether she ran away or was abducted, detectives believe there is enough evidence to indicate foul play, Rodriguez said.

Her mother told detectives the girl had run away once before, he said, but that time she had packed for her two-week absence. This time she did not.

She is Latino, 5-feet 7-inch tall and weighs about 125 pounds. Information can given to sheriff’s homicide detectives at (213) 890-5500.
