Leadership Academy Taking Applications
The United Way of Ventura County has extended the application period for a countywide leadership development program.
The Ventura County Leadership Academy is tailored for people who wish to explore and understand a broad range of issues affecting the region and its residents.
The 10-session program, running from Sept. 26 through May 9, will focus on issues including housing, education, public safety and agriculture during monthly seminars.
Participants will explore those topics and others through field trips, workshops and meetings with key decision makers in the county.
Applications for the program and a $10 processing fee must be received by Friday.
Cost to attend is $750, and scholarships are available.
