A man who police say was selling narcotics out of his parents’ home in Camarillo is being held in County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail on two counts of possessing narcotics for sale, authorities said.

Robert De Los Santos II, 37, was arrested Friday morning as he attempted to flush drugs down the toilet of the Barry Street home in midtown Camarillo, Oxnard Police Det. Ben Chavez said. Oxnard police, with assistance from the Port Hueneme and sheriff’s departments, retrieved the flushed drugs and narcotics found in his child’s bedroom, Chavez said.

Officers found more than two grams of heroin, three grams of methamphetamine and 10 1/2 grams of cocaine, all packaged for sale, Chavez said. In addition, they found two sets of scales, $300 cash, numerous syringes and a cellular phone, he said.

Chavez said narcotics were found in the bathroom, De Los Santos’ bedroom, his truck and “concealed in the bedroom of one of his children.”

Authorities sought the large bail amount, Chavez said, because De Los Santos was out of jail on $100,000 bail from a prior narcotics arrest. Arraignment is set for early next week.
