Camper Finds Something of Value in Pro Athlete

I just wanted to let people know that there are still some good seeds left in pro sports.

Last week I attended a basketball camp. On Thursday (July 18) an NBA player was scheduled to show up an talk to the campers. Well, he called and canceled at the last minute. The head coach got on the phone and somehow caught Sean Rooks on his car phone. Within just one hour’s notice, he agreed to make an appearance. Sean Rooks came and talked to us (the campers) for about half an hour. He talked about important things, like getting a good education. He also gave us some tips on how to improve our game. Plus, he signed autographs for everyone, which took another 20 minutes.

So, thank you to Sean Rooks and all other athletes who give kids positive role models to look up to.
