Get Disney Out of the Lineup

Angels and Disney: What happened to baseball? If I wanted an amusement/fantasy park atmosphere, I would turn west from Harbor Boulevard.
Don’t get me wrong, I certainly enjoy those things, but when I go to Anaheim Stadium, I want to see and hear the Angels. What I don’t want are cheerleaders cavorting and live bands running frenetically up and down the aisles to entertain between innings. All of this takes away from the enjoyable, laid-back ambience of baseball.
When even the wave is criticized for being disruptive and laughed at for being moronic, why would Disney opt for a Barnum & Bailey-type atmosphere? The only thing missing from Anaheim Stadium was the light parade; I held my breath hoping that the team lineup was not going to go up in smoke and pyrotechnics. Please, bring back the good old game, the favorite pastime: baseball. A winning team will produce more fans in the stands than silly sideshows.
