In his first appearance in the spotlight since winning Wimbledon, Richard Krajicek did not disappoint at a draw party for the Infiniti Open at the House of Blues on Saturday.

Krajicek, seeded second behind Michael Chang for the tournament, which begins Monday at UCLA’s Los Angeles Tennis Center, poked fun at Stefan Edberg, who is retiring this year.

“There was a time I admired him a lot and there was a time he was bothering me a lot because he was beating me,” said Krajicek, who later presented Edberg with a commemorative cup and added, “I hope in about eight years I will receive the same cup from another handsome young tennis player.”
