Rodney King Was Cited for Speeding on I-15, CHP Says
Rodney King’s latest brush with the law, which occurred in northern San Diego County early Sunday morning, involved speeding at 90 mph, officials said Monday.
The California Highway Patrol said Sunday that King had been cited for an unspecified traffic infraction. On Monday, an official said the citation was for speeding in a 70 mph zone. King was stopped on Interstate 15 near Highway 76 just after midnight.
The citation was uneventful, officials said. “He was very cordial, no problems at all,” a CHP spokesman said.
