Volunteers Needed for City Hall Work
The city is accepting applications from residents who would like to work as volunteers at City Hall.
Residents are needed to answer phones, sort mail and staff the information booth in the front lobby. Volunteers can work a few hours a week or more if they desire.
The city recently cut two receptionist positions that managed those jobs. The cuts were part of 27 full-time and 13 part-time positions that the city eliminated in an effort to balance its budget.
Garden Grove is facing a shortfall in excess of $6 million for the 1996-97 fiscal year.
