Rolling Dole: A train ferrying presumptive Republican presidential nominee Bob Dole and 500 other party luminaries to San Diego for the Republican National Convention will make a stop at the Amtrak station in Glendale on Saturday. . . . Dubbed the Victory Express, the train carrying Dole and local state Assembly members Jim Rogan and Paula Boland is scheduled to arrive at 4:05 p.m., with a 30-minute rally to follow.

Boulevard Plans: It has provided more plot twists, accusations and quarrels than most soap operas. But after four years of debate and revisions, final changes to the Ventura Boulevard Specific Plan, which guides development along the San Fernando Valley’s “Main Street,” are scheduled for adoption today. . . . Camille and her sisters, Rachel and Chelsea, are featured in this week’s Valley Gallery (B12).

They’re Back: They’re an unlikely combination setting up shop in an unlikely venue. . . . Linda Menary, who faces criminal charges for operating a petting zoo in an area not zoned for pastoral activity, and Joe Cicero, who lost the lease on his farm at Pierce College, have teamed to start a farm and petting zoo on a vacant lot in Chatsworth (B1). The unusual location is a 5-acre lot next to a church on Winnetka Avenue.
