First American to Buy Florida Title Company

SANTA ANA — In its second acquisition in as many days, First American Title Insurance Co. on Wednesday agreed to buy a two-office title company in Gainesville, Fla.
The purchase of Alachua County Abstract is expected to close at the end of the month. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. First American Title is the chief operating subsidiary of Santa Ana-based First American Financial Corp.
