Share

Authorities are looking for anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect who tried to get a cash advance using a stolen credit card last month in the Westlake community of Thousand Oaks. The tip could make someone $1,000 richer.

The reward is being offered by Ventura County Crime Stoppers in the July 24 incident at the Home Savings Bank in the 200 block of Hampshire Road.

An unidentified man entered the bank and tried to obtain a $2,950 cash advance using a stolen credit card, Det. George Fitzgerald said. The man used a fake Delaware driver’s license to identify himself and has made similar attempts throughout the county, Fitzgerald said.
