Share

Decisions, decisions, decisions. The choices home buyers make about their mortgages today can save or cost them thousands of dollars later.

Do you take a 15-year or 30-year mortgage? Fixed or adjustable? A no-fees loan or a lower interest rate? Mortgage broker, mortgage banker or direct lender?

A helping hand through the mortgage maze is yours at The Times Home Buyers Fair on Saturday, Aug. 31, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Burbank Hilton and Convention Center, 2500 Hollywood Way, Burbank.

At morning and afternoon Q&A; workshops, mortgage experts will tackle the issues that concern you as a home buyer. In the exhibit hall, talk to lenders and compare rates, get pre-qualified, find out how to clear up your credit and how to get your loan papers in order.

Representatives from the city and county of Los Angeles, IRS, the VA and the California Housing Finance Agency and Department of Real Estate also will be on hand. Tickets are $6, or $5 with a coupon. See ad on K2. For exhibit information, call (800) 775-4662.
