The $2,000 Weekend

Being a Depression baby, the thought of spending almost $2,000 for a long weekend of fishing rubs me the wrong way (“Lords of the Flies,” July 28). Even with inflation taken into account, that is a lot of money. For that amount, I can fish for at least two weeks on public water.
