2 Hikers Missing After Flooding

Two hikers were missing after flooding that forced the evacuation of a nursing home and a campground and closed roads. Storms dumped up to 7 inches of rain throughout the state from Sunday night to Monday afternoon. Teams aided by dogs and helicopters resumed a search for two hikers believed trapped by rising water in Linville Gorge in Burke County. Flooded roads led to the evacuation of the Glenstone Nursing Home in Boone and about 100 people from a campground in Burke County.
