Missing L.A.
* I’ve just returned from a week of camping in Santa Barbara and, after living the past four years in the Napa Valley, I began to realize all the things that I miss about L.A. County. Besides its proximity to one of the most beautiful beach towns in the world (Santa Barbara), I also miss, though not necessarily in order, Tommy Lasorda, the San Gabriel Mountains dressed in snow, the lights of the L.A. basin from Eagles Roost under a full moon, the Dodgers, L.A. winters and my family still living in Pasadena.
