Applicants Sought for Panel Vacancies

The city is seeking applicants to fill 17 vacancies or terms that will soon expire on five boards and commissions.
Municipal officials are seeking to fill two openings each on the Planning Commission, Santa Paula Housing Authority and Commission on Aging, six on the Appeals Board, four on the Mobile Home Rent Review Commission and one on the Recreation Commission.
All positions are unpaid. While most prospective board and commission members must live in Santa Paula, city residency is not required for the Recreation Commission or Appeals Board.
Recreation Commission applicants must be between 16 and 20 years of age, and those seeking the Commission on Aging posts must be older than 60.
Meeting frequencies range from twice monthly to an as needed basis.
Applications are available at the city clerk’s office, 970 Ventura St. Call 933-4208 for more information. The application deadline is Aug. 29.
