Moorpark to Honor Little League Team

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — 

The fun won’t soon end for the Moorpark team that is the first from Ventura County to play in the Little League World Series.

The day the players return, they will be picked up at Los Angeles International Airport and taken to Moorpark in limousines. The team will parade down High Street, ending up at the Little League fields at Chaparral Middle School where a ceremony will take place.

A radio station’s remote van will broadcast the celebration.

“We want to make this as special as possible for the boys,” said Mike Intlekofer, president of Moorpark Little League. “They’ve done so much to bring this community together.”

The players also will serve as honorary grand marshals for the Country Days Parade the first Saturday in October.
