Schools to Be Subject of Meeting Tonight
The state of the community’s schools will be the topic of a town meeting at 7:30 tonight in the Fiesta Room of the Lago Santa Margarita Beach Club. Representatives of Saddleback Valley and Capistrano unified school districts will be on hand to meet with parents and other residents.
The free public event is sponsored by the Civic Assn.
Speakers will be Saddleback Valley Supt. Peter A. Hartman, Trabuco Mesa Elementary School Principal Chuck Prince, Capistrano Associate Supt. Austin Buffum and Richard Campbell, Arroyo Vista Elementary School principal.
Several topics are on the agenda, including how schools are implementing class-size reductions, use of Mello-Roos funds and plans to accommodate the student population increase anticipated as the community grows.
