Work is scheduled to begin Sept. 3 on the north bank of the Arroyo Las Posas, about one mile west of the Hitch Boulevard crossing. Traffic is not expected to be affected by the project, which is scheduled to be completed in January.

* Semco Instruments Inc. of Valencia won a $200,364 contract from the Army Aviation and Troop Command in St. Louis for heating thermocouples.

* C. K. Technologies Inc. of Newbury Park won a $176,800 contract from the Director of Contracting in Chambersburg, Pa., for a wire analyzer system.
