Transient Jailed After Hiding in Restaurant
Oxnard police officers arrested a 26-year-old transient early Tuesday morning hiding in the bathroom of a local restaurant that had closed for the night.
Police nabbed Gustavo Ramirez Romero about 2 a.m. after a patrol officer noticed the window of the Super Taco Restaurant in the 100 block of East 5th Street was open.
Officers went into the building and found Romero in the bathroom after a brief search.
Romero is being held in the Ventura County Jail on suspicion of burglary. His bail is set at $20,000.
