Police Arrest 4, Find Methamphetamine

Police arrested three men and one woman, all from Oxnard, at a residence in the southern part of the city early Wednesday after finding methamphetamine and packing materials for narcotics on the premises.

Mark Osborne, 35, and Osita Brooks, 29, were booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of having methamphetamine for sale, authorities said. Brooks is being held on $20,000 bail, and Osborne, who had other outstanding warrants, is being held on $30,000 bail, authorities said.

Christian Culp, 33, was arrested on suspicion of having a controlled substance but posted bail, officials said.

Van Thuthi Tran, 34, was jailed on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail, authorities said.

Oxnard police said they began searching the home at 9 a.m. after witnesses told them that drug deals were taking place at the building in the 1600 block of McLoughlin Avenue.

Inside, police found the four suspects, more than a quarter ounce of speed, a digital scale, packing materials for narcotics and notes that showed drug deals were taking place, authorities said.
