It Must Be September: Disabled List Clears
As the rosters expanded from 25 players to 40, a number of teams activated players from the disabled list. The Atlanta Braves activated shortstop Jeff Blauser, the Chicago Cubs activated pitcher Mike Campbell and shortstop Rey Sanchez, Florida activated catcher Charles Johnson and outfielder Andre Dawson and the Mets activated pitcher Jason Isringhausen and infielder Butch Huskey. Also, Colorado recalled pitcher David Nied from single-A Salem, and recalled pitchers Bryan Rekar, John Burke and Robbie Beckett, catcher Steve Decker and outfielders Angel Echevarria, Terry Jones and Alan Cockrell from triple-A Colorado Springs.
