Waves Sweep UC Irvine

The Pepperdine women’s volleyball team was impressive in its season debut, sweeping UC Irvine, 15-2, 15-3, 15-4, Tuesday night in front of 350 at Firestone Fieldhouse.

The Waves (1-0) made 45% of their kill attempts, led by Nicole Sanderson, who had 11 kills in 13 tries and added three block assists. Kymme Vicknair added 10 kills and three aces. Becci Roehl had 41 assists. UC Irvine fell to 1-2.
