The thin crescent moon joins brilliant Venus and Mars in the morning sky early this Sunday. At 6 a.m., Venus is to the lower left of the moon. Mars, which is less than one-hundredth as bright as Venus, is to the upper left of Venus. Castor and Pollux--the heads of Gemini, the Twins, are above Mars. Procyon in the Samll Dog and Sirius in the Large Dog are to the right, while Orion the Hunter is above Sirius.
