Bruins Seek Right Line Combination

It’s taking more than a depth chart to keep track of the UCLA offensive line, because coach Steve Marshall is making sure nobody is comfortable in any of the five positions.

Nobody but left tackle Kris Farris, that is, and that’s only because he’s a freshman. “We want to get him to be master of one thing, but next year I can see moving him around too,” Marshall said Tuesday.

The Bruins played nine offensive linemen at Tennessee, still seeking the right combination of the best five players.

Running back Skip Hicks (concussion) was held out of practice because of continuing dizzy spells. Doctors say that he must have 24 hours without them to be cleared to play.
