Job Fair to Focus on Careers in New Media

Job fair--The information numbers were incorrect in Monday’s Times for a UCLA Extension-sponsored new media job fair Saturday at Universal CityWalk. The correct telephone numbers are (310) 825-9971 and (818) 784-7006.
The fair will feature online Internet demonstrations, as well as evaluations of new hardware and software. Speakers will include executives from DreamWorks SKG, Walt Disney Studios, Digital Domain and Sony Pictures Imageworks.
In addition to the demonstrations, some of those same companies will be recruiting computer animators, digital artists, multimedia developers and producers, according to the event organizers.
The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Universal CityWalk UCLA Extension Center. Admission is $45. For information, call (818) 784-7008 or (310) 825-8871.
