Three Camarillo teenagers were injured Monday when their speeding pickup truck skidded off Lewis Road near Camarillo State Hospital and rolled down a 15-foot embankment into Calleguas Creek.

California Highway Patrol spokesman Dave Cockrill said the single-car accident occurred at 2 p.m. at the intersection of Hueneme and Potrero roads.

Two of the youths were sent by ambulance to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where one was in serious but stable condition late Monday, authorities said. Another was transported to St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo with major injuries, authorities said.
