Anyone wishing to view the last total lunar eclipse that will be seen in Orange County this century may want to wander to Orange Coast College on Thursday evening.
The school’s astronomy department is setting up telescopes and will offer free viewing to the public from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on the baseball field at the corner of Fairview Road and Monitor Way.
Nicholas Contopoulos, assistant professor of astronomy, will be on hand to discuss eclipses and other celestial phenomena.
