COMIC JUGGLER: Chad Taylor, who handles jokes as deftly as he wields his chain saw, will perform at 8 p.m. at Pepper Street Legends stage.
CONTESTS: Doughnut-eating at 3 p.m. and bubble-gum blowing at 5 p.m., Good Music stage; clay carving at 4:30 p.m., America’s Kids area; Frisbee throwing at 7:30 p.m., Plaza of the States Park, and Hula Hooping at 9 p.m., Clock Tower Plaza.
ENTERTAINMENT: Christian rock band dc Talk headlines tonight at 8 at the grandstand; Carley Moultrie Singers at 5:30 p.m. and Scottish dancers at 7 p.m., Fairplex 4 community stage; Wild Pony band, 6 p.m., Heritage Farm stage; Reckless Kelly Band, 6 p.m., Good Music stage, and El Monte City Chorus at 12:30 p.m. at the Education Expo Starlight stage.
WOOL SHOW: There are a few things visitors may not know about sheep. For instance, if you shave their bellies, they seem taller. Learn more and see show-quality lambs at 11 a.m. in the agricultural area.
The fair runs today through Sunday at the L.A. Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona. Today and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is $9, $7 for seniors, and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. (909) 623-3111.
