The catalog of the first major exhibit of Indian art held in Australia, “The Vision of Kings” offers an overview of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain artifacts. Although many of the delicately colored paintings are charming, it is the sculptures that impress the reader: powerful, sensuous figures of humans, gods and animals, all taking part in a grand cosmic dance.
