4 Young Musicians to Give Free Concert

Four young Ventura County musicians will perform today at a free concert as part of the weeklong celebration of the reopening of the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.
The performances, which will feature works by Brahms, Debussy, Liszt and Saint-Saens, are part of the New West Symphony’s Discovery Artists program. The concert will be followed by a question-and-answer session moderated by conductor Boris Brott.
The artists are 15-year-old violinist Elise Goodman of Thousand Oaks; 17-year-old pianist Eric Chueng of Thousand Oaks; 15-year-old pianist John Huang of Oxnard; and 12-year-old pianist Eric Chu of Thousand Oaks.
