Fleiss Ordered to Drug Treatment Center

Share

A federal judge on Tuesday ordered Heidi Fleiss into a Pasadena residential drug treatment home for 90 days after Fleiss admitted in court that she violated the terms of her bond by using methamphetamine.

Judge Consuelo B. Marshall declined to keep Fleiss in the Metropolitan Detention Center--where Fleiss has been held since her Friday arrest--and instead ordered Fleiss to Impact House, where Fleiss was committed for two months of drug treatment in 1994.

Fleiss had been free on bond pending sentencing later this month on federal convictions stemming from her failure to pay taxes on hundreds of thousands of dollars in proceeds from a call girl ring. As early as next week, she faces a second state trial on pandering charges. Her first conviction was overturned.
