A 40-year-old plumber was electrocuted Tuesday when he accidentally touched an exposed electrical wire with a 110-volt capacity, police said.
Mario Toranzo, a Balboa Island resident, was working under a house in the 9800 block of Mammoth Drive when he came into contact with the wire and was electrocuted, Police Lt. Bruce Kelly said.
“It appears to be an accidental, occupational death,” Kelly said. “No foul play appears to be involved.”
Toranzo was taken to Pacifica Hospital in Huntington Beach, where he died, police said.
