Ramirez Marriage

* What a wonderful country this is, where the newly enacted Defense of Marriage Act denies gay and lesbian marriages federal recognition and allows states to deny their validity even if legal where they are performed, yet where a notorious convicted serial killer, Richard Ramirez, a.k.a. the Night Stalker, although never to be paroled from prison, can still marry a woman he didn’t even meet before being incarcerated.

Somehow, this can’t help but leave me wondering how defensible the institution of traditional heterosexual marriage really is.
