Storm Drain Work to Begin in January

A storm drain project in Canoga Park to relieve flooding problems in the area will begin in January, Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky’s office announced this week.
The county Department of Public Works will install about 3,000 feet of storm drain under Saticoy Street from De Soto Avenue to Deering Avenue.
The opening for contract bids will start Oct. 29.
The project should take about 60 working days and be completed in April, Yaroslavsky said in a statement.
Once work begins, existing traffic lanes on the streets may be reduced or closed to through traffic, though local access will be maintained.
