Council Candidate Decides to Withdraw
A 19-year-old candidate for Camarillo City Council has decided to call it quits, saying he has to dedicate himself to his studies and his job.
Taylor Woods, a Santa Monica College political science student, began a sales job at Circuit City on Tuesday. Although he is not an eligible candidate, his name will still appear on the ballot.
The remaining candidates are Sherry Cole, Dennis Fandey, Al Fox, Kevin Kildee, Jan McDonald, Bill Liebmann, Richard Lundberg and Mona Schidel.
They are competing for seats vacated by David Smith, who is retiring, and Mike Morgan, who is running for county supervisor.
