Chamber to Host 2 Candidate Forums
The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor two forums featuring candidates for mayor, City Council and the board of education.
The four mayoral candidates and eight City Council contenders will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave., to answer prepared questions and give brief statements of their backgrounds and qualifications.
Chamber Director Larry Cooper said a moderator will pose six or seven questions, mostly business related, to the candidates. Each will have one minute to respond.
On Oct. 14, the chamber will hold a similar forum at 7 p.m. in the center for the seven candidates for the board of Garden Grove Unified School District.
Both forums will be broadcast live on the city’s local cable-TV channel, Cooper said.
