As the summer rush subsides, many hotels in and near San Diego have special packages. An example is Country Side Inn at Cardiff by the Sea. For $105 per night, plus tax, guests receive a room, two adult passes to Sea World, good for two days; discounted children’s passes; buffet breakfast; and hors d’oeuvres. The offer is good any night, subject to availability, through Nov. 27. The hotel, 1661 Villa Cardiff Drive, is about 30 minutes from Sea World. Advance reservations required: (800) 322-9993.. Also in San Diego: a $19 “Passport to Balboa Park,” allowing entrance to 11 museums. The price went up $1 this year with the addition of Mingei International Museum of World Folk Art. Available at the museums, Balboa Park Visitors Center, and TIMES ARTS TIX booth at Horton Plaza downtown.
