PITTSBURGH (3-1) at KANSAS CITY (4-1)
Channel 7, 6 p.m.
The Steelers have won the last four meetings, are 8-1 under Coach Bill Cowher on “Monday Night Football,” have Mike Tomczak, 7-2 in his last nine starts at quarterback, and have gotten three-consecutive 100-yard games from Jerome Bettis. And they don’t have a chance against the Chiefs, who play like Supermen in front of their red-dressed, tomahawk chanting crowd.
--Say what: The Chiefs have the eighth-best defense, the Steelers the fourth and neither team has a quarterback who suggests scoring will become commonplace in this game.
--Players to watch: Chief kicker Pete Stoyanovich, who had his last field goal blocked, and Steeler kicker Norm Johnson, who is eight for 10 in field-goal attempts. Five of the last six games between these teams have been decided by seven or fewer points.
--Finally: The Chiefs are 19-4 in their last 23 regular-season games, including 11 consecutive regular-season victories at home.
