Two Fugitives Charged in Fatal Baldwin Park Rampage

Authorities filed capital murder charges Monday against two fugitives sought in a killing rampage in Baldwin Park in which they allegedly killed four people--including two young girls--and stole thousands of dollars from their victims.

David Alvarez, 29, and Trinia Irene Aguirre, 21, are accused of executing a gardener and three members of an extended family Sept. 29, while seriously wounding three others.

Police said Alvarez, an alleged gang associate from Highland Park, came to the Stewart Avenue house looking for his estranged wife, whom he had previously kidnapped. She was not home, but Alvarez allegedly marched the gardener inside the house at gunpoint before tying up his estranged wife’s relatives and, with the help of Aguirre, who was armed with a knife, embarked on his blood bath, authorities say.
