Screening to Focus on Signs of Depression

Share

The public is invited to a free screening Thursday at Rancho Santiago College that will explain the signs and symptoms of depression.

The program is part of National Depression Screening Day. More than 80,000 people participated in the screenings last year at 2,400 sites throughout the country.

The National Institute of Mental Health estimates that more than 17 million Americans are struck with depression each year. Participants will complete written screening tests and discuss the results with mental health workers.
