SANTA BARBARA--Beer makers and beer drinkers will gather for the third annual Pacific Coast Beerfest, noon-6 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Earl Warren Showgrounds. More than 200 beers from more than 60 breweries will be featured, and brewers will be on hand to discuss the brewing process. Highlights also include live music and a culinary showcase. TEMECULA--If you didn’t make it to Munich this year, you can check out this Oktoberfest celebration Oct. 19, complete with microbrewed beer, German food and entertainment, and other fun. WALNUT CREEK--Just in time for Halloween, the Lindsay Wildlife Museum hosts Bat Day, a celebration of these mysterious and often misunderstood creatures. DANVILLE--It’s an orange and black affair: The Danville Art and Halloween Festival will fill Hartz Avenue between Diablo Road and San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Oct. 26-27. The fifth annual holiday celebration will feature more than 200 artisans, a parade, pie-eating contests, a pumpkin patch, live music, a children’s carnival and a huge selection of foods. SAN LUIS OBISPO--The fourth annual San Luis Obispo International Film Festival takes place Nov. 1-10, with new features, shorts and animated films from around the globe.
