Couple Arrested in Drug Seizure

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and woman after seizing a gun and more than $12,000 worth of methamphetamine at an Oxnard home.

Officials from the FBI, Oxnard Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department searched the residence in the 700 block of Berkshire Place on Monday afternoon, following reports of drug sales.

Deputies arrested Jocelyn Fisher, 36, and her husband Rolando Fisher, 37, after finding about nine ounces of methamphetamine in their home, officials said. In addition to the drugs, estimated at a street value of $12,300, as well as a loaded handgun and drug-packaging paraphernalia.

After police uncovered information about a bank deposit box in Jocelyn Fisher’s name, they got a warrant to search a box at an Oxnard branch of the Bank of America. Detectives recovered $78,500 in cash and several pieces of gold jewelry.

Authorities booked the couple on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale. Bail was set at $500,000 each.
