Tustin High School will celebrate its 75th anniversary on Friday by inducting 10 former students, including an astronaut and Olympic gold medalist, into the school’s new Alumni Hall of Fame.

The inductees were chosen by a committee of school officials and community leaders based on their accomplishments, outstanding achievement and community involvement. They are:

* Retired Gen. John R. Dailey, class of 1952, acting deputy administrator at NASA. Dailey served in the Marine Corps for 36 years before retiring from the armed forces in 1992.

* Lisa Blower Dempsay, class of 1956, the first female athletic director of an NCAA Division I institution, UC Irvine. Dempsay, who is listed in the National Assn. of College Directors Hall of Fame, now owns and operates a local business.

* Al Enderle, class of 1947, a civic and community leader and supporter of public education.

* Mark Grace, class of 1982, a professional baseball player with the Chicago Cubs. Grace has won three Gold Glove awards and has set several batting and fielding records.

* Shawn Green, class of 1991, a professional baseball player with the Toronto Bluejays. He won the International League batting title in 1994.

* David Leestma, class of 1967, an astronaut at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Leestma has participated in three space shuttle flights and has logged more than 530 hours in space.

* Evelyn Furtch Ojeda, class of 1932, a 1932 Olympic gold medalist in the 4 by 100-meter relay. She was the first woman from Orange County to win an Olympic gold medal.

* T. Jefferson Parker, class of 1972, an author and journalist whose works include “Laguna Heat,” “Pacific Beat” and “The Triggerman’s Dance.”

* Jim Steffen, class of 1954, a former professional football player with the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins.

* Scott Storey, class of 1981, a television art director and two-time Emmy nominee.

The alumni will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a luncheon Friday.
