Larry Brown Released From Hospital
Indiana Pacer Coach Larry Brown was released from St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after surgery for a hernia and for damaged cartilage in his left knee.
Brown did not accompany the team, which traveled to Europe for games against Seattle on Friday in Berlin and Sunday in Seville, Spain.
“The prognosis is excellent,” said team doctor Sanford Kunkel, who performed the arthroscopic surgery on Brown’s knee. “We expect him to make a complete recovery and be coaching in the next several weeks.”
Both surgeries were performed Tuesday night.
Assistant Billy King likely will coach the Pacers during the games in Europe.
