Walk, Book Sale Raise Money for Library

A fund-raising walk, book sale and crafts sale for the city’s library branch will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday on the baseball field at Villa Park High School, 18042 Taft Ave.

The fee for the Friends of the Villa Park Library Walk for Wisdom is $20 and includes a T-shirt. Late registration will be in front of the library at the Civic Center from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday and at 7 a.m. Saturday at the high school.

A three-mile walk will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a two-mile walk at 8:05 a.m. and a one-mile “family fun” walk at 8:15 a.m.

The book sale will feature a wide assortment of used volumes, organizers said. There will also be an array of booths selling crafts and other goods.
