Aquino Suffers Recurrence of Illness

After an electrocardiogram and blood work came back negative, Bruin freshman quarterback Dylan Aquino suffered a recurrence of breathing and heartbeat problems Wednesday night and was sent to UCLA Medical Center.

Aquino, from Hacienda Heights Los Altos High, had collapsed Tuesday night after practice and was taken to the hospital for tests, then released. He attended practice Wednesday.

More tests had been planned, and Aquino--who told doctors that he had been dealing with occasional spells without telling anyone since practice began in August--again felt faint Wednesday night after dinner. This time he asked team trainers for help and was hospitalized.
