Raise Your Goblet to Kramer’s Taste

Share

Thanks to Matt Kramer for (at last) reviewing wines that are not so esoteric, foreign and unavailable to us here in California, the nation’s largest producer of fine wine (“Bottom Feeding for Values,” Oct. 3). There was even a wine from our left coast he liked! Unfortunately, the Wine of the Week reviewed by S. Irene Virbila is but a fond memory. Ridge “Lytton Springs” Zinfindel is released in the spring and is devoured quickly by hard-core aficionados every year. The current fall releases are the Geyserville and Pagani Ranch, equally stunning and equally rare. It does your readers a great disservice to laud wines that they cannot find. I did very much enjoy your fall harvest article, however.
