Fullerton’s St. Clair Breaks Finger

Cal State Fullerton basketball player Chris St. Clair, who missed most of last season after a second knee surgery, will be out for three to six weeks after breaking a finger on his left hand.

St. Clair was injured in practice this week, and X-rays revealed a fracture at the base of the little finger of his non-shooting hand. A cast was put on his wrist and two smallest fingers.

“He will be able to maintain his conditioning, but it’s a blow to Chris and the team,” Coach Bob Hawking said.

The Titans, who play the first of two exhibition games in Titan Gym Monday against High Five America, open the regular season Nov. 22 at BYU.

St. Clair, a junior guard from Sonora High School, tried to come back from a knee injury last season, but played in only five games before sitting out the rest of the season. St. Clair was the team’s third-leading scorer as sophomore in 1994-95 with a 10-point average.
